Efforts Underway to Persuade Electoral College to Vote Against Popular Vote; Celebs Join In

Violent, riotous protests have continued for three consecutive days since Donald Trump won the election to become the 45th president of this republic.  In major cities across the country, individuals have engaged in criminal activity with impunity championed by the lamestream enemedia in condoning the “right” to protest.  While individuals do have the right to “peaceful assembly” and “petition the government for a redress of grievances,” there is no right to engage in criminal activity while protesting.

In an example of the right to “petition the government for a redress of grievances,” a petition, written by Elijah Berg of North Carolina, has surfaced calling for the electoral college to deny the will of the States’ voting public to award Hillary Clinton the presidency.  Garnering more than three million signatures as of Friday, many celebrities are adding their names to the petition and taking to Twitter to stir the flames of dissent.

According to Breitbart.com:

Some of Hillary Clinton’s top celebrity supporters are pulling out all the stops in one final attempt to change the results of Tuesday night’s presidential election, adding their names to and promoting a petition calling for elector in the Electoral College to go against state voters’ wished to make the Democratic candidate president.

Celebrities including Lady Gaga, Pink, Amanda Seyfried, Sia, Jeffrey Wright and Laverne Cox have circulated a Change.org petition drawn up in the days following Donald Trump’s historic presidential election victory.

The petition, written by one Elijah Berg from North Carolina, had already gathered more than 3 million signatures as of Friday evening.

“Mr. Trump is unfit to serve. His scapegoating of so many Americans, and his impulsivity, bullying, lying, admitted history of sexual assault, and utter lack of experience make him a danger to the Republic,” the petition reads.

“We are calling on the Electors to ignore their states’ votes and cast their ballots for Secretary Clinton.”

Jeffrey Wright, in his tweet, has called for people to “never acquiesce to this Presidency or his misogynist racist illogical policy prescriptions or to his indecency.”  He wrote, “No compromise.  Fight.”
The Electoral College officially casts its votes on December 19th, so there is the potential for electors to vote contrary to the States’ voters.
If these individuals are willing to acquiesce to the will of the Electoral College, then, the united States should adhere to the Constitution in regards to the election of the president and vice president as contained in the Twelfth Amendment of the Constitution for the united States of America, trashing the national popular vote for president and vice president.
The Twelfth Amendment declares as follows:
The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;–
The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;–
The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President.–
The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
For a complete discussion of the Twelfth Amendment, the reasons it superseded Art. II, Section 1, clause 3, and the framers’ intent, please read this link.    Those calling for the electoral college to “elect the president” have no idea what the Constitution states regarding the electoral college nor what is stated in the Twelfth Amendment.
Those who support the Constitution are perfectly content to follow the framers’ intent for election of the president and vice-president as outlined in the Twelfth Amendment.  It would mean the states would take back sovereignty over the federal government.  The two-party system that has hijacked government would cease its stranglehold over the republic since electors can cast a vote for anyone.  It would mean a possible repeal of the Seventeenth Amendment, leading to a return of this republic to the tenets of the Constitution.
If the people who are signing the petition truly  wish to adhere to the electoral college, by all means, it should follow the tenets outlined in the Twelfth Amendment.  However, these people do not understand how the electoral college is to function under the Constitution, much less why it is in place, to even call for a reversal.  And, returning to the election of president and vice-president by electoral college would dismantle the present corrupt, unconstitutional system in place today.  Is that what these individuals signing the petition really want?
Those who are protesting and signing the petition for the electoral college to overturn the national popular vote only want this body to do so because the election did not go in their favor.  These people had no issue abiding by election results for all the presidential elections prior to this one.  The division along every demographic and socioeconomic line created by Hussein Soetoro and perpetuated by the lamestream enemedia is what has led to these people experiencing massive “butthurtness,” which has reared its ugly head in violent riots and ridiculous Twitter campaigns.
The “protestors” and celebrities are not asking to return to the Twelfth Amendment.  What they are asking the electoral college to do is vote “their chosen candidate” into office, ignoring both the Twelfth Amendment and the unconstitutional national popular vote.  Simply put, these individuals want to ignore our founding documents, ignore the will of the people, ignore the law (The Constitution), and put in place a government of their choosing using violence.
As indicated in another article, these people do not want a republic;  they don’t even want a democracy (mob rule).  These people are actually advocating for an oligarch — rule by a minority of wealthy, elite, privileged politicians and money magnates.  They are willing to do anything and everything to exact their will upon all of the people, using government unconstitutionally to do so.  When this occurs, it reeks of tyranny and oppression.
What these people need to understand is an ages old adage — Be careful what you wish for since you just might get it.
