And the hits just keep on coming with “P****-gate.” With the rapidity of events in the news, it may be time to start podcasting on some issues. Pardon the digression. It is now being reported by The New York Post that Briton Anthony Gilberthorpe has come forward to refute the claims of sexual assault against Donald Trump levied by Jessica Leeds. Gilberthorpe claims he was sitting across the aisle from both Trump and Leeds. He asserts it was Leeds who was being overly flirtatious and at no time did Trump engage in inappropriate behavior.According to the report by The New York Post:
Donald Trump’s campaign says a British man is countering claims that the GOP presidential nominee groped a woman on a cross-country flight more than three decades ago.
The man says he was sitting across from the accuser and contacted the Trump campaign because he was incensed by her account — which is at odds with what he witnessed.
“I have only met this accuser once and frankly cannot imagine why she is seeking to make out that Trump made sexual advances on her. Not only did he not do so (and I was present at all times) but it was she that was the one being flirtatious,” Anthony Gilberthorpe said in a note provided to The Post by the Trump campaign.
Gilberthorpe stated Leeds was wearing a white pantsuit while Trump was wearing a suit and cufflinks, “which he gave to his British flight companion.” Gilberthorpe described Leeds as “trying too hard” to “get” Trump, including her admission to him that she “wanted to marry Trump” made when Trump excused himself to use the facilities.
Gilberthorpe himself has a “shady past.” In 2014, he “made headlines” when he “went public with a claim that as a 17-year-old he procured boys (some who ‘could have been underage’) for sex parties with high-ranking British politicians.”
Like Leeds, Gilberthorpe has no proof to back up his claim. However, if women can accuse Donald Trump without proof, then why would witnesses need to prove they witnessed an incident or did not see any incident? However, Leeds herself told CNN, “The guy in the seat across the aisle could see. And I kept thinking, maybe the stewardess is going to come and he’ll stop, but she never came.”
Excuse me, but how many “men” would witness inappropriate behavior, such as Leeds described, against a woman and not intervene? The operative word here is “men.” A real man would intervene in order to protect a woman or even another woman would intervene. But, it was not a woman in the seat across the aisle; it was a man. And, that man said nothing happened so there was no need for intervention.
Leeds claimed that Trump groped her chest and attempted to put his hand up her skirt. Now, Leeds stated she wasn’t too bothered by Trump groping her upper body, which is code for breasts. She claimed she would have been okay with the entire incident if it had been limited to breasts. What woman, regardless of who the man is, would be okay with that man fondling her breasts in public? In my world, that man would get a swift knock of the hand away. If he kept on, he would be punched in the face regardless of who he was or where the incident took place. Any other advances after that would receive swift retribution with whatever I could find to use to pummel his head.
Other individuals that would be interesting to speak with are the flight attendants on that flight who worked First Class. Alas, none of them have come forward — probably because they can’t remember, didn’t see anything or don’t want to get involved in all the bat guano crazy political show taking place. Who can blame them?
Some individuals may claim that one cannot remember an incident that happened over 30 years ago. Well, that depends on the incident. One would definitely remember sitting across the aisle from a person as famous as Donald Trump. One would definitely remember circumstances surrounding the interaction with someone who expressed a desire to “marry Trump.” Over the years, there are jus those incidences that “stick” in memory. Example — do men remember what their wife wore on their first date? Women certainly do. What about the events surrounding the marriage proposal? There are certain important events or unusual events that stick regardless of the time since it happened.
This is getting more and more bizarre by the hour as it seems one cannot leave a news feed for any length of time without some more information surfacing regarding “P****-gate.” The depths to which this presidential race has sunk reached lows that one would never expect to see in the united States. But, one of the candidates is Hillary Clinton; and, anyone paying attention should know the ruthlessness with which this woman operates, not to mention her willingness to commit crimes in the “end justifies the means” modus operandi. As WikiLeaks puts the pressure on Hillary Clinton with the continual release of emails, one can expect the depths to go lower. And, while everyone is focused on “P****-gate,” all eyes are off the Congress and Obama, meaning something is going through that needs to be hid from the American public.
